Hi,
I miscarried a few months ago and have significant, but not excruciating pelvic pain. My OB just did a laporascopy and lots of U/S's and hasn't found anything. It feels like it could be endometriosis, but apparently not (T/G). Anyway, I'm afraid they're going to just tell me try again and miscarrying was incredibly traumatic. I don't want to just try again if this is the reason why I couldn't maintain the pregnancy.
Does anyone have any advice for questions to ask my Dr. when I go on Monday?Post miscarriage health and questions for my DR Advice...?
I also have miscarried %26amp; it is the worst thing I've ever been through %26amp; I'd never wish it on even my worst enemy. I'm so sorry for your recent loss.
It seems like no one can understand what you're going through, even if several people who've been through it themselves, try %26amp; console you.
I miscarried a little over 3 years ago. I was not diagnosed with endometriosis until a year and a half later. I had painful periods, irregular periods, %26amp; was passing clots. I knew something was wrong, but my dr kept telling me everything was normal. Blood work was normal %26amp; pap was normal so I was ignored in my opinion.
I work in the health industry %26amp; from personal experience on the patient side %26amp; on the staff side, the only thing I can recommend for you is to get a second opinion from another dr. Then get a third opinion, and a fourth. Keep going until you get answers. YOU know your body better then anyone else. Go on your instint. If you KNOW something is wrong, then something IS wrong %26amp; you have to be persistant. I have been through 6 OBGYN's. It took me 3 to get a diagnosis %26amp; another 3 to finally find an endometriosis specialist that I'm comfortable with and takes care of me the way I want to be taken care of. He gives me options %26amp; discusses them with me. He suggests but doesnt pressure.
And don't put it off. The longer you wait, the more time what ever is wrong, will have to progress.
It is possible that there is nothing wrong %26amp; you will never see a problem again. Thats what I was told, but I put off what I thought was a concern %26amp; I regret waiting to get help. Just listen to what your body is telling you.
Since your dr has already done a lap, I wouldn't think it would be endo. Some women though dont have obvious endo scarring %26amp; patches. Some women just have the inflammation.
I would recommend trying the endometriosis diet even though you havent been diagnosed. Cutting out caffeine, wheat gluten, dairy %26amp; cutting back on fatty meats. I can't stress how much caffeine affects endo. I worked hard for 4 months %26amp; stayed on the strict diet %26amp; felt a million times better.
But good luck to you. Take your time emotionally before you get back into trying. If you go back into it stressing %26amp; worrying you will just get discouraged. Relax %26amp; let your body %26amp; mind heal.
Peace will come.
Your welcome to email or IM me if you ever need someone to talk to.

just tell them your concerns and be patient but persistant. Most dr's won't test for a cause of miscarriage till you've had at least 3. 1 Miscarriage is pretty typical for woman. So until they see a pattern of it happening they won't do much. Keep mentioning the pain you've been having. Most likely your next pregnancy will be fine. Some women do have recurrant miscarriages (myself included) but it generally is not the norm. Good luck. I hope nothing is wrong with you and that your next pregnancy is a good one.
