Does anyone in the world actually listen to Dr Phil's advice?

Look, I know you might think this is a joke question, but I'm just interested to know. I really have no opinion on him, but being in Australia I guess we watch the show and think that Americans must really look up to him because enough people must watch for it to be worthwhile making the show. Is this true? or is this like people from other nations believing that we have kangaroos hopping down main roads?





Oh, posting this here as he seems to talk about marriage a lot.

He's a money grabbing dirt bag that should not even be considered seriously . He is living proof that greedy people will do and say


anything for money and fame .





He uses people emotional breakdowns and personal crisis as fodder


for his greed and fame . He is a violator of their trust .

you really don't have kangaroo's running down your main roads? wow. after seeing Kangaroo Jack, I was certian.. Just kidding. I bet you think that everyone from Texas gets around by horseback too huh? but to answer your question. Dr Phil only and i stress ONLY got big because of Oprah, so thank her. People watch Oprah, and he just happened to be on there, then he was on their all the time. Now that he's gone, Thank God, Oprahs ratings are back up.
Dr Phil pretty much gives the cold hard truth. I don't watch much tv, but I do know of him. He used to work at a facility a few blocks from where I lived and I had some family who he evaluated at work. He's just a ';give it to you straight'; guy and most people don't want to hear the truth, or what will work, they want someone with an easy fix to the problems they have created.
I've watched his show once or twice....


He has a large following indeed, as you've stated that the show is doing well.





For too long people from the United States have lived life of 'holding hands' when you need emotional support that they need shows like this. Every person in the U.S. should be required to join the military for at least four years to help toughen them up.
I think he has some very good advice as most of it seems to be plain common sense like ';if you have nothing to hide, hide nothing'; or ';you can't change what you don't acknowledge';. What I find sad is that people are that clueless.
Me personally, Cant stand the man. But I'm sure there are some ppl who think his word is the law. His books and tv stuff makes him millions.
Its kind of hard to listen to marriage advice from someone who is getting divorced...The guy's a joke.
I dont care for that man or how he talks to people. I think he is a joke, that has made alot of money insulting people and treating them like crap.
Dr. Phil is an idiot, I hope no one ever takes his advice seriousely! He's not even a real Doctor!

Do not watch his show or listen to him. He sucks.
In the scary movie 4 yes. he is an electrician.
Dr. Phil really gets on my nerves and so do his guests.........that's why I stopped watching his show a while back......
