Why do people who watch Oprah and Dr. Phil not follow their advice very well?

I know women who continue in abusive relationships and seem to be gluttons for punishment. Yet they watch Dr. Phil every night.

Because people who watch advice shows like that are too stupid to manage their own lives. It is only logical that they are also too stupid to follow simple instructions, like ';leave him - now';.Why do people who watch Oprah and Dr. Phil not follow their advice very well?
I don't watch Oprah or DR. Phil I watch Judge Joe Brown and Judge Judy and Maury i also watch divorce court

If people are encouraged to have contempt for ';closed-minded'; rational thinking, then perhaps they aren't going to apply it to their own lives?
They are in denial and don't think they have any problems. They have to acknowledge the abuse before they change their circumstances.
Alot pf people listen but don't act on it.
They truly think their situation is different....they think they're in love so the advice doesn't apply to them.
Just because a person listens to wisdom and advice doesn't mean they will put that in to action. Some of us take a long time to learn lessons.





Besides......like all talk shows we all need to take all with a grain of salt %26amp; we are responsible for who we are and what we do.


No Dr. Phil or Oprah can fix the problems of the masses.
