I called the DR and they said they cant give advice over the phone?!?

I am 14 to 15 weeks pregnant with cramping pains. So, I called the ER and Labor and delivery and they said that they cant give me advice over the phone. They said if I was concerned to come in and be seen. Should I been seen or is this cramping normal?I called the DR and they said they cant give advice over the phone?!?
hey there. ER's cant give advice no matter what the situation is due to the chance of you deciding to go against their recommendation and them getting sued..you should call your doctor if you have real concerns...good luck!I called the DR and they said they cant give advice over the phone?!?
ER's won't give advice...but your doctor will. Call your doctors office, they will have a number for an on call doctor or nurse to answer your question. That said, cramping is normal. But if it's very painful or you also have bleeding, I'd suggest going to see someone ASAP.
not normal....go.
I have not met a doctor yet who will give advice over the phone, they do not want to be held liable for it. If you are really worried go in!
if i was you i would go in better to be safe than sorry
Um...that's not 100% true. If you were asking patient-specific things (like about your current medical state when it's not a worry), then they couldn't since it may not be you calling--it may be someone wanting your medical records.

Since it is a semi-emergency, they CAN advise you. But, since it is a hospital, they won't. Call your OB/GYN, a Women's Clinic, or Ask A Nurse. They almost deifnitely will help! They may just say, ';Come in,'; but that's better than, ';Come in if you feel like it,'; right?

Good luck and feel better! I'm sure you're fine.
Go get checked.
