Is dr franka proper doctor..i am concerned ..he gives advice under the guise of 'dr frank'?

hopefully people will take his advice as a pinch of salt..we could all say we are docs with so many years experience but im concerned that he is a complete faker!! he is targeting vulnerable YOUNGSTERS..do not take anything he says to heart and...please visit a health professional..Is dr franka proper doctor..i am concerned ..he gives advice under the guise of 'dr frank'?
One of the problems (and advantages) with an open site like this is anyone can say anything and the questioner can believe them .I'm a health professional but keep my job title out of all this because I want people to accept what I say at face value not because I call myself anything special. For what its' worth, the person who uses the name Dr Frank seems to know a lot about health but using any online source be it this or search engines is no substitute for proper professional advice. Also I could call myself professor, her ladyship etc etc but it could be just a title I've made up .90% of the answers on the questions I've replied to give bad advice (present company excluded!)Is dr franka proper doctor..i am concerned ..he gives advice under the guise of 'dr frank'?
Mmmm. Anyone can call themselves a Doctor or Nurse, be wary. Any serious medical advice given on here should be taken with a pinch of salt - Except for the one that says 'see your GP'.

Simple homely remedies may be OK and worth considering or further investigation. I will quickly add that some of the answers can be comforting and reassuring, but should never take the place of proper medical advice.

Whether Dr Frank is genuine or not, I don't know.

However well intentioned people may be it is always better to err on the side of caution.
Just chose him as best answer to my question. hope he is a real doc, but even so the adivce he gave me made sense
you pose a good question. i think we'll never get the true answer. anyone can say anything on here and no-one would ever know if it's really true. i just hope that people who receive his answers to serious questions will take the advice from others, as well seeking professional help and advice from their own doctors
is he on here? Alot of people say they are what they aren't on here, and it is dangerous as others read their profiles and may decide to take their advice. It is actually illegal to pretend you are a doctor, as it encourages people to trust and that rust can be abused. You are right to be cautious
you are completely right... Anyone reading this, DO NOT take medical advice from ANYONE on this site. Anyone can pretend that they're a doctor, please see a REAL doctor before consulting people online!!
everyones first stop should be to a gp-but if they arent happy then, they must look at alternatives-including tips from non medical people, then they can go back for a recheck at their gp,or an alternative or private clinic-its foolish to think a non medical person has all the answers, but the same goes for a gp.
No wish to get into a personal debate with you rebecca j , but if you had read my answer properly :

'If you are still breast feeding you are likely not to have a period and unlikely to be pregnant. If not I would repeat the test in a week or so and/or consult your GP .'

'It said unlikely to be pregnant'
i thort he mite have been untill he triped up and told a young mum that breast feeding stops u getting pregnant....ive had 2 kids and know thats crap. no hes not genuine and ive noticed he targets youngsters. no idea how to report him....the advice he gives is dangerous and wrong. he sudnt be allowed to go round posing as a professional.
