Can a person ovulate irregularly? Advice please...is my Dr. being negligent?

I've been ttc for over a year and it's getting frustrating. My Dr. did blood work that showed I ovulate. I never started looking for physical signs until recently. I have very little to no CM when I ovulate. I have been taking OPK's and this months was all negative. Last month I had a positive right to the day I was suposed to. My Dr. doesn't seem concerned and therefore does not want to send me to a fertility specialist. Advice please. Can a person ovulate irregularly? Advice please...is my Dr. being negligent?
I would say that if the OPK is not working for you then try charting your temperature in the mornings. Do you have a regular/irregular period? Usually women ovulate 12 days after their period (depending on your cycle). Sometimes stress can be a major factor for women...I hear (from Doc's and Friends) that if you are under stress you may have heavier and irregular periods or not ovulate, so, relax dont stress too much it can affect it. CM is necessary so that those little guys can swim up (easier) and catch that egg. Also, if you think that your Doctor is not doing what he should be, change him/her... You are in all your rights to do so!Can a person ovulate irregularly? Advice please...is my Dr. being negligent?
Yes you can ovulate irregularly, its not like it happens the same date every month for instance as your cycle is usually different each month too.

The best time to conceive is the middle two weeks of your cycle, i suppose you know this already.

If you take your temp before you get out of bed in the morning on day one of your cycle, you will get a reading that you can do a chart with, when you ovulate your temp will rise and then deeply fall the next day, thats when you ovulate.

Good luck and dont worry.
You must have an HMO or something right? To get my Clomid prescription, I just went to my gyno. I didn't need a fertility specialist. Also, try a pill called Fertile CM and be sure to drink a lot of water so it can work. It is supposed to make your cm more sperm friendly.

If you think you aren't ovulating, you can buy clomid over the Internet without a prescription. I only recommend that if your doctor refuses to write that prescription for you or refuses to refer you to a specialist. Your Dr. probably isn't concerned because the blood work showed that you can ovulate. Not every woman ovulates every month. On the other hand, we are ttc here! Not ovulating for one month is one month too many! So, do some research on Clomid and see if you think it is right for you. Personally, I take the pills on CD3-CD7. Others take it from cd2-6 and others take it cd5-9. I don't know if this has to do with the dosage or Dr. preference or what. My Dr. started me at 100mg. But some Dr's start you at 50mg. I suggest you try the 50mg first since you have the ability to ovulate. If you still get negative opks then up your dosage to 100mg.
People do ovulate irregularly. It's hard to pin point an exact time. I would suggest having sex every night for at least 1 week leading up to the period. I would not suggest fertility treatment unless there is NO other way. The reason being that some times to many eggs stick, and you end up with multiples. Or you spend thousands of dollars and end up with nothing. I would consider adopting/fostering before fertility.
You need to read the book ';Taking Charge of your Fertility'; by Toni Weschler. It is one of the best books I have ever read. It really helps you understand your body and your cycles. The website is www.tcoyf.com
