Pain Clinic Advice and DR. said he cant help.

I got to a pain clinic for a back injury from 4 months ago. He is very

in / out and not very bedside manners. He did Nerve block shots and it was like pulling teeth to get something for the pain from him so i can make it threw a 10 hour day.. I passed the drug test. And he told me to get out of my profession cause i will always have issues and pain and he couldn't do anything more for me.. Now what would you do? seek a new clinic or call you primary care and ask them. I thought they we there to help us not toss us to the side.I never been to one prior to this either. Any help would be much appreciatted.Pain Clinic Advice and DR. said he cant help.
It would be helpful to have more details regarding the back injury. Have you seen a spine surgeon or orthopedic? If not recently I would make a repeat visit. Pain management is supposed to keep you comfortable but with the DEA cracking down on clinics most doctors are scared to prescribe narcotics. I get my last nerve block soon and my pain management doctor says that is all he can do for me. I am on nerve med, muscle relaxer, anti inflammatory, and low dose of pain med. They are referring me back to the spine surgeon at this point. If you have a good relationship with your primary care doc I would go to them and see if they can refer you to another pain clinic or specialist that might be more qualified to help you. Good luck! I know the back pain in a nasty thing...Pain Clinic Advice and DR. said he cant help.
You should seek out the care of a Chiropractor. Pain is our specialty. Instead of simply giving you a shot for pain and not actually treating your problem, a chiropractor will find the area of dysfunction and work to resolve the pain. Also chiropractors are known to have excellent bedside manner. If you have any questions feel free to message me regarding chiropractic care.
