How can people with weight problems take advice from Dr Phil since he is obese himself ?

That is the exact question I have been asking myself too. LOL!How can people with weight problems take advice from Dr Phil since he is obese himself ?
Dr. Phil is NOT even a doctor . . . just a title he gave himselfHow can people with weight problems take advice from Dr Phil since he is obese himself ?
People would rather sit around watching TV then actually do anything proactive about their problems. I'm not sure why this is.
Some people are underweight. That's their weight problem.
';Rich'; trumps ';fat';!
He has a PhD in psychology. All that does is qualify him to dispense advice (sort of like a good friend), but he cannot write prescriptions and he's not qualified / allowed to dispense medical, nutritional or legal advice.

He can advise people who are obese due to some psychological problems to address those problems by suggesting certain methods and tricks to do so, but that's where the buck stops.

People need to learn to put this stuff in perspective.

I am truly amazed how many people need a psychologist to solve common sense problems... only in America *sigh.
Dr. Phil is not obese, therefore he can give advice. As a professional psychologist, he has published numerous scholarly articles and has practiced in the many fields of clinical psychology and behavioral medicine. Dr. Phil has a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from North Texas State University with a dual area of emphasis in clinical and behavioral medicine. He is a licensed clinical psychologist in the great state of Texas.
