I have 2 discomforts: right side pelvic, been there for at least 2 years. Before ever being pregnant. Right ovary area. Had a laporoscopy and Dr. found nothing. Also did ultra sounds. There was a cyst, but it went away.
right side of my belly button. Consistent pain since last pregnancy (ended in miscarriage @ 6 weeks). It has been less than a year, but the pain remains. Dr. found nothing during the laporoscopy.
I AM NOW PREGNANT AGAIN @ 4 weeks :0) but incredibly afraid one or both of these caused the miscarriage. I don't want to be afraid and I don't want to experience that again. My Dr. thinks it's psychosomatic. I don't. I don't know what to do.Dr./OBGYN advice or experineced person regarding pregnancy pain please.?
20% - ie 1 in 5 pregnancies miscarry. Your belly button is nowhere near your womb, the pain in your belly button is most likely a pain due to irritable bowel syndrome or some other 'stress related cause'. You have had at least one, if not two (it isn't clear from your posting) normal laparoscopies, and nothing noted on the scan - apart from the disappearing 'cyst' - so that was a normal follicle. So it sounds to me as if your doctor is right. Psychosomatic doesn't mean the pain doesn't exist, just that there isn't a physical cause. Try to avoid getting yourself over investigated. You wont achieve anything except a potential complication from a test.
Sadly there is only one way to prevent miscarriages and that is don't get pregnant. You sound like you need some sort of relaxation therapy as even your short posting sounds incredibly stressed.Dr./OBGYN advice or experineced person regarding pregnancy pain please.?
I would seek another medical opinion...any doctor who tells me it's all in my head gets fired!!! Even if it's not an OBGYN but a family doctor...Talk to your girl friends and see who they see for female issues...and if they are happy with their care....I just had a miscarriage less than a week ago and my current OBGYN is not relating to me well...I am giving her another chance Thursday...If I am unhappy...I will find another OBGYN...
Best of Luck!
I will recommend a lot of rest, maybe and have the doctor check you as needed. Good luck and congrats!!!
