I am confused. I went to the Dr today regarding a positive pregnancy test. I get there and the test was negative. The blood test stated I have extremely low HCG level. Then they did a sonogram and found a womb/cavity but it is empty. The womb did not have any fetus. I started bleeding heavily this morning before I got there and have not had a period since October. They told me it was a miscarriage that happened. Also that there is a possibility I could be just starting to develop a pregnancy. How can that be possible? The womb protects the baby. You can't have a womb and no fetus if the fetus was not there in the first place right? The fetus does not come after the womb develops. Doesn't make sense really.
I also found out I am RH negative which I had to get a shot to make the right antibodies for when I want to get pregnant again in the future to prevent RH negative disease or high risk pregnancies. I have been reading up on this but still don't understand this at all. Anyone familiar with this?Please help with advice. I am really confused after today's visit to the Dr regarding pregnancy!?

Your ';womb'; is your uterus, so you always have one, whether you are pregnant or not. Look up ';chemical pregnancy';- it sounds like that is what you had. You can have a gestational sac that doesn't have anything in it- it starts, but the fetus never develops. Your body will eliminate it nartually since it was so early on.
